Earnings-related pension card
The earnings-related pension card entitles you to pensioner discounts when you have retired permanently. The earnings-related pension card entitles you to a discount on many products and services.
The card may be issued to everyone who is on
- old-age pension
- disability pension
- years-of-service pension
The earnings-related pension card is not available to people on partial early old-age pension, partial disability pension, cash rehabilitation benefit, or survivors’ pension.
The earnings-related pension card will not be sent to you together with your pension decision and instead you will receive the card from Keva in a separate letter after the issue of the pension decision.
Lost cards
If you have retired permanently but have not received the card, or if your card is lost, you can order a replacement in the online service My Pension or by calling our customer service.
Discounts with the earnings-related pension card
The earnings-related pension card entitles you to a discount on many products and services. Do not hesitate to ask about possible pensioner discounts. Discounts are provided on a permanent basis by entities including VR, Matkahuolto, local government services and many recreation centres.
The details on the earnings-related pension card are in Finnish, Swedish and English, which means that you can use the card when travelling abroad.
Download the digital earnings-related pension card on your phone
Make sure to always have your pension card with you by downloading the digital earnings-related pension card on your phone. In order to receive pensioner discounts, you might also be asked to show a photo identification.
Even if you download the digital pension card, we will send you the traditional plastic card after issuing your pension decision.
You can download the app on your phone for free from Google Play or the Apple App Store. Use “Työeläkekortti” as your search word.
The application is available on iPhones and iPads (iOS 13.0 or more recent) and phones running the Android operating system (4.4 or more recent).
When you use the app for the first time, you need to log in using Finnish online banking codes or a mobile certificate. The app will remember your details for the next time.
The digital earnings-related pension card is available in Finnish, Swedish and English. You can change languages in the upper right-hand corner of your screen. This makes it easier to use the card in English when you are travelling abroad.
